Florian and Simon (links in the side bar) and me did this painting over a couple of weeks together. Step by step it was passed from one to another without a plan, so it shaped up almost by itself.

Here is a clip from the demo which shows some graphics I did for the game.
For example the menue background, UI icons and the first cutscene at the beginning, which was a beast ... I finished it in 2 working days. There are more of them in the game. I'm curious to see how all turned out, as I didn't animate them, just provided the layered images.

Pirates of Black Cove was released today!

Yeah it's out now and I'm happy to finally get this game started and see what happend to the many hours and days which rushed by so fast in the last few months. My fellows at Nitrogames did a great job from what I saw in trailers and screenshots and the first few reviews are quite positive too.

Pirates of Black Cove- main character 1: Walker de Planc

Hey folks, long time no see!
I was pretty busy with moving house and ... not having internet... but now I'm back online and want to share some of artworks for the upcoming PC game "Pirates of Black Cove" which will be released August 2nd.
I showed you some concept art several weeks ago. This time I'll show you ingame artworks which have been used for ingame graphics for UI, loading screens, etc.

It's the first of the 3 main characters called Walker de Planc:

Swamp Bird

I uploaded a horrible doodle yesterday night, which I just had to delete again this morning. But I gave it another chance and invested more time in the doodle bird. Now it's a speedy bird.

3D Version of Mastema

Maybe you remember my artwork for the Dominance War 4 in 2009 which is showcased on my main website. Well, some weeks ago Jit Chun Khiew from Malaysia asked for permission to take my concept further and make a 3D model from it for his reel .
Now it's finished and turned out pretty cool. Check it out!
